Is this your first year licensed?

Congratulations on obtaining your Virginia Real Estate Salesperson License!   DPOR requires all active new salesperson licensees complete an approved 30 hours of post-license education (PLE) within one (1) year from the last day of the month in which the license was issued in order to remain on active status.

Advanced School of Real Estate has partnered with Colibri Real Estate—the leader in online real estate education, to provide you with the highest quality post-licensing education courses.  These are state-approved, self-paced courses that you can take in the comfort of your own home or anywhere you have internet access.

Post-license education applies to licensed Virginia agents only.  If you are interested in obtaining your Virginia Real Estate License, you may find more information on our pre-licensing courses here.

Failure to complete these 30 hours of PLE within one year will result in automatic placement of your license on inactive status. You cannot practice real estate in Virginia with an inactive license.  You may re-activate your license by:

  1. Completing the 30-hour post-license education (PLE) requirement; and
  2. Completing and submitting an “Activate/Transfer Application”  – Salesperson form with the required fee.
